Well the Panto is over now, always mixed emotions when a show is over, three months hard work - learning lines, learning songs and for me the hard part is learning dances. I seem to have a mental block whereby I just cannot remember which way to move my feet in time to music.
Still a good time was had by all, the kids in the show enjoyed themselves and that always reflects in the responses from the Audience.
I managed a wonderful Gaff at one point during the Friday night performance - quite unwittingly I refered to "Snow White" as "Cinderella" - It raised a good laugh and I made plenty of it, a good friend later e-mailed me saying "We came to see Cinderella but that Snow White kept stealing all here scenes"
I know I'm getting a bit long in the tooth now, but there is something endearing about Panto, and I still think it is a wonderful medium for introducing youngsters to theatre.
