G & S Timber

Had a drive up to Penrith yesterday to G& S Timber, to see a demonstration for Tormek sharpening machines.  It was quite interesting, however spent most of the time talking to Pete Osborn, who is chairman of Eden Valley Woodturners, and an excellent demonstrator.  Also there was Margaret Garrard,  one of the most talented and artistic woodturners around at the moment.

I have a Tormek sharpener however I don't use it as find it far too fiddly for my liking.  they are very good, but I prefer to used my Robert Sorby Pro-Sharp.  Not as refined but quicker for my needs.  Each to his own

There is a pic of three mushrooms I made a long time ago.  One natural, One Oiled and One varnished.  Need to improve both my turning and my photographic skills.
