Well I seem to be able to access my old Blog,  the picture above is a (Greek) helmet made from a goblet which went wrong....while trying to make the goblet even in thickness, the bowl left the stem...
after an amazing tirade of invective...to be honest I could't think of anything rude enough to say,  I drilled out the hole which used to contain the stem of the goblet,  turned the finial and made a stand out of some scrap mahogany.  well, I like it.
